Barely 48 hours after he was selected as a member of the All Progressives Congress 61-man contact and strategy committee, the immediate past governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode, has reacted.
Anaedoonline.ng reports that the former governor said that his selection as a committee member is a call to serve the ruling party and the nation as a whole.
Ambode made this known via his Twitter page @AkinwunmiAmbode on Tuesday, March 24, adding that he has dedicated himself to the service of the nation.
The committee was inaugurated in Abuja on Tuesday, March 23, by the chairman of the Caretaker/ Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee of the APC, Mai Mala Buni.

In another news, Anaedoonline.ng reported that political pressure group, the Vision for a Better, Progressive, and United Nigeria, has listed the benefits the All Progressives Congress (APC) stands to get if Ali Modu Sheriff becomes the next National Chairman of the party.

The group submitted that the former Borno State governor has massive experience in party administration, adding that the fact that he was once the National Chairman of the main opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), puts him strategically ahead of others.
It argued that Sheriff has the spread and goodwill to lead the APC to victory in the 2023 Presidential election.
