Aisha Yesufu, a human rights activist, made fun of Festus Keyamo, the former minister of state and employment, for the incident that occurred before the Senate on Monday during his screening.
As previously reported by Anaedoonline.ng, the Senate descended into chaos when Darlington Nwokocha, a senator from the Abia Central Senatorial District, moved to suspend Keyamo’s ministerial screening.
Keyamo was charged with disrespecting the 9th National Assembly and calling the previous Assembly corrupt, according to Nwokocha.
Senate In Rowdy Session Over Keyamo’s Ministerial Nomination
Nwokocha claimed that Keyamo declined an invitation to discuss a Special Public Works plan during the tenure of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Enyinnaya Abaribe, a senator from the Abia-South Senatorial District, seconded Nwokocha’s motion right away.
The motion was then put to a voice vote by the Senate President, but the senators couldn’t agree on it.
Bamidele requested a private meeting during a contentious exchange between the MPs, and Akpabio supported the request.
In response to the development, Aisha Yesufu criticised Keyamo’s response to his ministerial nomination in a tweet that was published on Twitter.

Aisha mocked him, saying Keyamo’s name was an afterthought on President Bola Tinubu’s list of ministers and that he was desperate to be one of them.
She wrote: “Festus Keyamo disgraced himself. He was an afterthought on that list and yet was celebrating like a child that got its first ice cream. The desperation to serve is unbelievable.”
Aisha Yesufu responded by sharing an earlier article in which he criticised Buhari and Keyamo for failing to provide documentation for the 774 000 jobs.
She wrote, “For those of you that have forgotten about the 774k jobs and Keyamo”
