The governor’s aide, who spoke with journalists at the Government House in Awka at the weekend, explained that in spite of sinister comments and negative propaganda against the present state government, the governor was unperturbed, saying that instead, the governor has remained focused in his resolve to bequeath a new Anambra to the citizenry.
She said those accusing the governor of having a hand in the fire incident that ravaged Onitsha market were mad from the pit of hell for bringing up such allegations against him, noting that the proponents of such allegations should have come up with more intelligent lies rather than reduce themselves to public ridicules with such baseless falsehoods and defamatory statements.
Obinabo said that the state was peaceful and secured, courtesy of Governor Obiano’s innovative security strategies and that opposition elements should be mindful of the fact that Anambra State would not want a repeat of the terror and mayhem it experienced in the hands of sponsored hoodlums.
who according to her, burnt Anambra Broadcasting Service complex, the secretariat complex and some other government properties in the state.
She also recalled that there was a time when workers were referred to as dead woods in Anambra State and they were not paid salaries too because the government in power then hijacked the entire system.
The former Special Assistant on Agriculture to Governor Obiano noted that the marauders were re-grouping and plotting to capture Anambra again but admonished the citizenry to be vigilant and accord full allegiance to the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA ), stressing that APGA was the only political party with Igbo cultural identity.
