The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 195 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country.
This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 1, 532. Four new coronavirus deaths were recorded in the country, said the NCDC.
Kano State has recorded 38 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total of confirmed cases to 115.
This was disclosed in a tweet on the handle of the state ministry of health on Wednesday morning.

According to the tweet, 3 deaths have been recorded. The tweet reads: “#COVID19KN Update as at 1:20am 29th April 2020.
“Total confirmed cases in @KanostateNg are now 115. Three coronavirus deaths were recorded.”
The tweet also urged residents to stay at home in order to break the chain of transmission. The state government on its part, has since declared two weeks lockdown in the state in measure to curtail spread of the disease.

It said, “195 new cases of #COVID19 reported – 80 in Lagos, Kano – 38, Ogun – 15, Bauchi – 15, Borno – 11, Gombe – 10, Sokoto – nine, Edo – five, Jigawa – five, Zamfara – two, Rivers – one, Enugu – one, Delta – one, FCT – one, and Nasarawa – one.
A lot of deaths have been recorded in Kano State allegedly not related to coronavirus, and it has been a concern for Nigerians
