Paul Chukwuma Constitutes Manifesto Committee, Donates Bus to Anambra State APC Youth Wing

Sir Paul Chukwuma, frontline aspirant to the position of Anambra State governor in the All Progressives Congress  (APC), ahead of 2025, has inaugurated his manifesto committee. The team made up of professionals from different backgrounds, was commissioned on Tuesday in Anambra State, and charged with the responsibility to interrogate and fine-tune Mr. Chukwuma’s ideas. Their job also extends to implementation of those ideas when he is elected the governor of Anambra State. According to Chukwuma during his introductory speech, he has no intentions to give excuses and that is why the team is fundamental in his quest for quality leadership. “We are not interested in telling stories. We want to develop a document that has a practical bearing on the issues we are dealing with in Anambra State. A document we can speak to and relate to,” Chief Chukwuma said.

Speaking further on the essence of the committee, Mr. Paul Chukwuma pointed out that development and growth cannot be achieved haphazardly. This he said, noting that ideas always form the basis for the pursuit of any kind of development. He also remarked that for optimal application, those ideas must be reviewed by a team of experienced thinkers and intellectuals so that the leader can have the most approximate template to run with and deliver on the people’s expectations. This might be the first time a governorship aspirant is trying to draw from the know-how of thinkers and intellectuals who play within the Anambra’s space.

Chukwuma, who highlighted some of the core focus of his administration observed that insecurity is a major problem in Anambra state and as such, would be one of his core objectives. “In Anambra State, our major challenge that our administration will not waste time to surmount is the issue of insecurity. Insecurity has unleashed unfathomable mayhem to our existence as a people. I am prepared to deal with that at once.” He equally pointed to the unstable power supply and noted that it would be one of the major things his administration would address with immediate effect. “We are going to ensure that Anambra has an uninterrupted power supply and that goes with infrastructure development.” Similarly, Mr. Chukwuma remarked that human capital development is one of the areas his administration is going to prioritize.

Charging the committee, they were given 90 days to deliver on their terms of reference. “We have given this committee a period of 90 days to turn in their report,” Paul Chukwuma said. The members of the committee are; Dr. Tony Oyima; former Commissioner for Information in Anambra State, Chief Uzu Okagbue; Harvard-trained leadership expert and a former Deputy Chief of Staff and Chief of protocol to Anambra’s immediate past governor, Dr. Elijah Onyeagba; Nigeria’s former Ambassador to Burundi and former banker, Mr. Muyiwa Akin, Barr. C.J. Chinweuba, Amb. Uchenna J. Ubah, Prof. Charles Obiora, Prof. Chidi Udedi, Dr. Zack Bello, Dr. Emma Udeakpa; a retired Permanent Secretary in the office of the Secretary to the Government of Anambra State, Mr. Ejike Anyaduba and Hon. Linda Ikpeazu; serial member of Nigeria’s House of Representatives. Also, Dr. Tony Onyima was announced chairman of the committee, while Barr. C. J. Chinweuba is the secretary of the committee. The members of the committee are drawn from both private and public sectors and are expected to bring their experiences on board.

In his reaction after the inauguration, Dr. Onyima thanked Mr. Chukwuma and the committee, while assuring of the committee’s readiness to get the job done in record time. “Within 90 days, on or before that time, I want to believe that we will deliver. I assure you that we are not going to disappoint you,” Dr. Onyima said.

Meanwhile, Sir. Paul Chukwuma has fulfilled his promise of a vehicle to the youth wing of the Anambra APC, as he gifts them a brand new 2020 Toyota Hiance valued at almost a N100 million Naira. Receiving the car, the youth leaders of APC in Anambra state could not withhold their excitement. The new vehicle for the youth wing of Anambra State APC was handed over to the youth leadership of the party by Mr. Chukwuma in his home at Umueri on Tuesday.
