A court in Jos, the capital of Plateau State, has sentenced 23-year-old student David Longji to three months in prison for stealing a solar panel from a business.
Following Longji’s guilty plea to stealing on Friday, the judge, Mr. Shawomi Bokkos, handed down the punishment.
Additionally, he offered him the chance to pay a fine of N20,000.

The complainant, Livinus James, reported the case to the Anglo-Jos Police Station on October 16, according to the prosecution’s attorney, Inspector Ibrahim Gokwat.
He added that while attempting to sell the stolen solar panel, the prisoner was apprehended.
Gokwat continued by saying that the offence was against the Plateau Penal Code.
