Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president, reacted to Nigeria’s exit from the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which is now taking place in Australia and New Zealand.
The Women’s World Cup Round of 16 match between the Super Falcons and England was decided by a penalty shootout after 120 minutes of play finished in a 0-0 stalemate, according to Anaedoonline.
Desire Oparanozie and Michelle Alozie both missed their spot-kicks attempts, which led to England winning the shootout 4-2.

In response, Atiku tweeted that he had no regrets about forgoing breakfast to watch Nigeria vs. England in the Round of 16.
Additionally, he argued that the Super Falcons have every right to be proud of themselves.
Atiku tweeted, “We may have lost to England in a penalty shootout, but the @NGSuper_Falcons have every reason to hold their heads high. I still have no regrets about skipping my breakfast for this game. #ENGNGR #FIFAWWC –AA.”
