Festus Keyamo, the former minister of state for labour and employment, has commented on his appointment.
Keyamo was included in a new list of ministerial nominations that President Ahmed Tinubu forwarded to the Senate, according to earlier news reports.
This was confirmed on Friday by Senate President Godswill Akpabio as he read a letter the president had sent during plenary.

Keyamo thanked God for the appointment in a tweet he sent in response to his nomination using his verified Twitter handle.
He wrote: “He’s a miracle-working God💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻. He’s a miracle-working God💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻He’s the Alpha and Omega, 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻He’s a miracle-working God!💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻”
After Keyamo’s name was left off of the second round of ministerial nominees, jokes about him appeared on social media for hours.
Recall that during the 2023 presidential election, which saw Bola Tinubu win the presidency, Keyamo and the former minister of aviation Femi-Fani Kayode were avid Twitter users.
