Man Sues His “Brother” for Robbing His Phone
A middle-aged man identified as Elijah Kenneth from Amaeke-Abiriba in Ohofia LGA of Abia state was sued to Court for robbery on Wednesday by Mr. Chidi Emele (a fashion designer based in Abuja) from the same Ohofia in Abia state.
*Mr. Emele was coming back from his birthday gathering in March this year when the suspect robbed him of his phone in a bus in Aba town*
Speaking to Anaedoonline.com correspondent the plaintiff, Mr. Emele said that he took the case up to serve as a lesson to other youths out there who may think they can always have their way after committing a crime.
In his words, “the phone he stole from me may cost a lot but not as much as this case will likely cost me in both time and resources but I don’t care. I have forgiven him for robbing me but he must have to face the consequences of his offense as deemed by the court”..

It was gathered that the suspect snatched Mr. Emele’s Smartphone in a bus in Aba town. The suspect pretended to be the bus Conductor (hanging by the door), only for him to snatch the phone from Mr. Emele’s hand and quickly alighted from the bus and ran away.
Then, Mr. Emele asked the bus driver to stop the bus and demanded that he provide the culprit being his bus conductor. The driver denied the culprit being his conductor but said he recognized the suspect and promised to turn him into Mr. Emele anytime he spots him in town.
A few weeks later, Mr. Emele got a call from the driver that he had spotted the suspect (Elijah Kenneth) somewhere in town. Mr. Emele then went and arrested Kenneth with the police and demanded the return of his phone or the money equivalent but Kenneth said he had already sold the phone and spent the money and therefore had nothing to refund.
Unfortunately for him, Mr. Emele is not one of those that will just let an alleged criminal go scot free. So he asked the police to detain him and went ahead to sue him for robbery.
