Chelsea’s firing of manager Graham Potter is expected to cost the club a large sum of money.
Chelsea fired Potter on Sunday night, following the team’s 2-0 home loss to Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday.
Potter, who arrived at Stamford Bridge in September, was in charge for 31 games, winning 12, drawing 8, and losing 10.
The Englishman agreed to a five-year contract for £12 million each year.

As a result, the overall contract cost was £60 million.
Chelsea had to buy out the rest of Potter’s contract in order to fire him.
Given that Potter has already served half a year, the complete procedure is expected to cost around £50 million.
Potter also brought a few backroom employees to the west London club. Chelsea is anticipated to pay them off as well, bringing the total cost to well over £60 million.
