Air Peace, Nigeria’s largest carrier, received receipt of two new Airbus 320 aircraft on Saturday, November 26, 2022, bringing the total number of Airbus aircraft in its fast expanding fleet to ten.
The airline announced the news on its official Twitter account over the weekend.
It said: “We’ve just received 2 new Airbus 320 aircraft, bringing to 10 Airbus in our fleet.”
The Allen Onyema-led company said further that “these new aircraft will help in strengthening our operations as the festive period approaches while supporting new connections & increased frequencies on specific routes.”

The latest acquisitions are in line with the airline’s determination to continue providing peaceful and strategic network connections, as part of its no-city-left-behind mantra, which the airline is aggressively implementing by connecting Nigerians seamlessly to other parts of the world and deepening socioeconomic ties between Nigeria and other countries.
“Air Peace is unflinchingly committed to reducing the air travel burden of Africans, and we will continue to grow our route network as well as modernise our fleet strategically. Air Peace has accomplished so much in just seven years of operation, as we now have a network of twenty domestic routes, seven regional routes and two international destinations, including Dubai and Johannesburg, which we launched in 2019 and 2020 respectively”, the airline said in a statement earlier this year.
It will be remembered that last month, the airline and Kalabash, a new entrant into the rapidly expanding BNPL fintech space, launched a product dubbed “Pay Small SmallTM, which allows all passengers to enjoy great travel deals and prices by paying as little as 25% of the total cost as a down payment to lock in travel fares and splitting the rest into convenient installments.”

According to the parties, the product is a flexible travel payment plan that allows clients to lock down great travel prices, and its installment options allow customers to plan their vacation from 24 hours to 6 months in advance. Customers who book ahead of time can benefit from lower fares. Checkout is simple, and no credit checks are required because all customers have access to the payment plan.
Similarly, Air Peace and underwriter AIICO Insurance Plc formed a partnership to provide cover for Air Peace passengers, allowing them to enjoy a more relaxed travel experience with the assurance that any inconveniences caused by unforeseen flight cancellations and delays, as well as missing or delayed baggage, will be compensated.
The organizations’ partnership introduced innovation to the aviation business by embedding insurance that fulfills the needs of clients.
