Former Aviation Minister, Osita Chidoka, has expressed sorrow over the assassination of a ‘Army couple’ in Imo State and asked the Igbo to speak out.
Chidoka, who said he viewed the video, issued a statement on Monday calling the conduct a sacrilege and defilement of Igboland.
Killing a woman whose crime is that she works to keep her body and spirit together “is terrible and unforgivable,” he said.

“Nwa okpu, our culture and spiritual belief system forbid the murdering of women. It is nefarious. “Evil has infiltrated our nation,” the ex-Corps Marshall declared.
During the slave trade, the Igbos were victimized by kidnapping and selling their people, according to Chidoka.
According to him, the forefathers would turn in their graves since the Igboland community’s basis has been forcefully disturbed by misguided wrath.
According to Chidoka, the South-East has entered a high-conflict stage, in which all types of evil are performed and tolerated in the name of justice.
He went on to say that the blood of the murdered woman, who was decapitated by a man who was born of a woman, will seek justice for everyone.

“Now is the time for all town unions, traditional rulers, church leaders, women groups, and right-thinking Igbo people to stand up.”
People should not be killed because of who they are or where they work, according to the statement.
Women and marginalized groups, Chidoka stated, must be respected, and murdering defenseless individuals is a crime against humanity.
