Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has insulted the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) over the present leadership issue.
The Niger State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello, presided over a meeting of the governing party’s Caretaker/Extra-ordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) on Monday, Anaedoonline.ng remembers, soon after the APC denied terminating Mai Mala Buni.
The meeting took place inside the party’s secretariat in Abuja, which was encircled by armed security personnel to prevent any breakdown of law and order.

Wike reacted to the news by saying that the APC’s leadership problem was unsurprising given the ruling party’s lack of internal democracy.
He stated this on Monday during the opening of the Orogbum Crescent (road) project in Port Harcourt’s New Government Reserved Area (GRA) Phase II.
Governor Wike stated that President Muhammadu Buhari is the party’s only administrator, adding that the Nigerian leader is in charge of the party’s activities.
The governor called the APC a “failing” party and stated that he was proud to be a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“There is no internal democracy in the APC,” he claimed. Only one man has the final say. Mr. President went to Kenya, returned on Saturday and commanded that this and that happen, and then went to Kenya again yesterday (Sunday).

“No internal democracy because they are not formed to practice democracy. They were only formed to see that they take over power and now they cannot manage it.
“APC has failed. Look at their crisis. It is just ordinary convention that is a problem. Ordinary convention that didn’t take us time as an opposition party.
“Yet you see what is happening and that’s the kind of people you want to put your hope, faith on. It can’t be possible.”
