Africa’s Global Music Awards, popularly known for promoting the All Africa Music Awards, recently delivered an unforgettable celebration of African music in Lagos, Nigeria. The grand finale took place on Sunday at the Eko Hotel and Suites, drawing artists, industry leaders, and fans from across the continent.

During the ceremony, AFRIMA honored several outstanding performers who have defined African music in recent years. Award recipients included Qing Madi, Rema, Juma Jux, Shallipopi, Burna Boy, Asake, Ayra Starr, Diamond Platnumz, and other notable stars. Each award reflected the diversity of African sound, while also highlighting the global impact of Afrobeats, hip hop, and contemporary African pop.

AFRIMA Turns Lagos into a Celebration of Rising Stars and African Music

In addition to celebrating established stars, AFRIMA created space for emerging talent. Earlier on Friday, the platform shifted its focus to live performances at Ikeja City Mall. On that stage, artists such as 9ice, Terry Apala, Odumodublack, and several rising acts performed live, bringing music closer to everyday fans.

As the weekend unfolded, Lagos transformed into a hub of rhythm, culture, and connection. AFRIMA once again proved its commitment to celebrating excellence while supporting the next generation. Through awards, performances, and shared moments, the event reinforced Africa’s growing influence on the global music scene and reminded audiences why African music continues to travel far beyond its borders.
