All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Anambra 2021 Governorship Aspirant, Hon. Nonso Smart Okafor has intensified consultation across Local Government Areas in Anambra State, with a visit to Awka North L.G.A.
Nonso Smart Okafor who was received in Awka North L.G.A amid cheers by party faithful, today, Thursday, 13th May 2021, appealed for the support of potential delegates in the L.G.A, ahead of next month primary election. 
Interacting with party members, Hon. Nonso Smart Okafor said that his decision to run for the Governorship of Anambra State is in response to the yearnings for a leadership that will improve on Governor Obiano’s achievements, and expand the development especially in the face of dwindling federal allocation.
He said that he intends to build a Viable, Independent, Secured and Advanced economy in Anambra State that can survive without grants and federal allocations.
According to him, Awka North is very important to the development of Anambra State especially with its proximity to the state capital and its rich Agricultural potentials, noting that the local government is challenged by poor road infrastructure, which has stunted her progress.
The lawmaker promised to bridge the infrastructural deficits in Awka North by opening up communities in the L.G.A through the construction of roads and also empowering farmers by providing credit facilities.
Nonso Smart promises to tackle insecurity in Anambra State
Appealing to party members, he urged potentials delegates in the L.G.A to resist every attempt to impose a candidate in the party, saying that party loyalty should be taken seriously in the party reward system. 
He said that he does not only have the competence to be the Governor of Anambra State, but he also have the capacity to win the Governorship election in November 6th election.
Speaking also, the Auditor-General of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra State, Nchekwube Anthony Dunga commended Hon. Nonso Smart Okafor, insisting that any attempt to manipulate the party primary will be resisted. 
He said that party loyalty should be considered going into the primary election, acknowledging that Hon. Nonso Smart Okafor is qualified to fly the party’s flag.
On his part, the Chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Awka North, Hon. Uzodimma Mbonu appreciated Hon. Okafor for the visit, assuring him of the support of the L.G.A.
