Nigerians have flocked to Twitter to vent their anger over the move by the National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) in suspending a programme on Channels TV Politics Today.
Acting director-general of NBC Prof. Armstrong Idachaba in a letter to the managing director of the broadcast station dated Monday, April 26, 2021, said during an interview hosted by Seun Okinbaloye on Sunday night, an IPOB official made several secessionist and inciting declarations on air without caution or reprimand by the TV station.

Idachaba also said the station was “liable to the suspension of its licence and a fine of N5million provided in Section 15 of the code for its infractions.”
The NBC’s action has generated backlash from Nigerians on social media, although most of them reacted to earlier reports that the station’s broadcast licence was suspended.
If NBC can suspend Channels TV that has won best TV station for over 10 years because they interviewed IPOB leader, I'm afraid that what we practice is audio freedom of speech. You're surprised Jack picked Ghana over Nigeria? There you go.

BREAKING: NBC suspends Channels TV for interviewing IPOP leader. Channels slammed N5 million fine.
But when Miyetti Allah guest speaker threatened Nigerians on the same Channels TV, NBC did not act. The goose & gander are not equal. WE GET THE MESSAGE LOUD & CLEAR!! OH YES!!

NBC suspends Channels TV for speaking with IPOB.
Is it a crime to allow IPOB to say their own side of the story? Channels is a media house and have the right to interview anyone to clarify issues and defend their stand.
This APC govt is such a stain on Nigeria.

With the suspension of Channels TV, all patriotic Nigerians living in Nigeria, who desire a better Nigeria & speak or advocate for it, need to be scared for their safety & future. No one is safe. There is no pretense to it anymore. The worst part is that the world doesn't care.

NBC Suspends Channels TV For Allowing IPOB To Give Their Own Account Of What Transpired In Imo State. Yet NBC & Al Qaeda People's Congress Didn't React When Sheikh Gumi Spokesperson For Killer Bandit & The Leader Of Killer Fulani Herdsmen, Miyetti Allah Appeared On Channels TV.

Why are people dragging Channels TV for giving IPOB spokesperson audience? Do you remember when Miyetti Allah threatened the entire country on national TVs on 30th of July 2019 because of RUGA. Did you complain?
— GREAT MALABITE™© (@Prof_aboki) April 26, 2021
Miyetti Allah once threatened the unity of this country on Channels TV and the clowning NBC didn't say a thing. The same NBC is now pretending to be proactive by suspending the same TV for interviewing IPOB. This is all you need to know about today's Nigeria under Buhari.
