With regards to the recent developments around Awkuzu Junction, the Vice-Chancellor of COOU, Prof Greg C.Nwakobu directed that the staff and students of COOU should be in school as there is no cause for alarm. According to reports reaching Anaedoonline.ng, Fulani herdsmen have attacked students of Chief Odumegwu Ojukwu University Igbariam and villagers in what appears to be a reprisal attack. This comes after it was alleged some unknown gunmen attacked their settlement in the early hours of Monday, 26th April, 2021, and killed some Fulani. The Fulani herdsmen have now turned their wrath on unsuspecting villagers and students.
