2019 STATE ASSEMBLY ELECTION: GOVERNOR OBIANO ENDORSES SMART
The Executive Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency Chief Dr. Willie Obiano has advised voters in Nnewi to give the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Candidate for Nnewi North State Constituency, Nonso Okafor (SMART), the opportunity to represent the Constituency in Anambra State House of Assembly.
Governor Obiano made the call today, Monday, January 14th, 2019, during his inspection tour of ongoing road projects in Nnewi.
Speaking during the inspection tour, Governor Obiano urged Ndi Nnewi to vote for Nonso Okafor (SMART) for the betterment of Nnewi.
Emphasizing on the need to elect Smart, the Governor appealed to voters in Nnewi to do him this one favor while promising to reciprocate the support by constructing more projects in the town.
Speaking further, the Governor said that electing Smart will guarantee Nnewi her fair share of the dividends of his government. Through legislation and representation, the needs and challenges of this constituency will be promptly responded to.
He concluded by commending the town for always supporting his government and the Party.
He, however, advised voters in the town not to be deceived by the antics of the opposition, stating that APGA remains the only party that will continue to ensure good governance.
“It is a party built on a progressive ideology which our father, Late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu contributed to. Let’s make sure these legacies do not die in our hands”.
He made this endorsement in the presence of Dame Virgy Etiaba, who could not hide her joy, Chief Chika Anyaegbu, Chairman/CEO Chisco Group, Hon. Afam Mbanefo, Commissioner for Agriculture, Rt. Hon. Prince Chukwudi Orizu, TC Chairman, Nnewi, Ogbuefi Melie Onyejepu, Special Adviser to Governor on Budget, Comr. Peter Nwosu, SSA to Governor on Nupeng Matters, Dr. Ifebi, Party faithful and other residents of Nnewi.
