Five state public health facilities have treated and released 66 people involved in the train-bus collision disaster.
Prof. Akin Abayomi, the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, announced on Wednesday, March 15, that no more fatalities were confirmed among the survivors of the accident following a successful two-stage triage.
“Back-to-back procedures are being performed on patients who needed surgery at LASUTH to ensure everyone gets released as soon as possible,” Abayomi added.
“As of today, March 15, the total number of patients admitted is 30.

“There are 26 patients at LASUTH, two at General Hospital, Odan-Lagos and another two at General Hospital, Gbagada.
“The total number of passengers discharged as of today is 66.”
Abayomi also noted that the fatality figure from the accident remains six which include two at the site of the accident and four at LASUTH during resuscitation.
