The son of Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, Abba Ganduje, is accused by the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) of misusing public resources for his campaign.
Abba is the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Kano state congressional district representing Dawakin Tofa, Rimingado, and Tofa.
In a statement, the NNPP chairman, Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa, said that the party had learned that the state government had used more than 30 vehicles that belonged to the Kano Internal Revenue Service (KIRS) for the APC candidate’s campaigning.

In order to defeat the incumbent, Tijjani Abdulkadir Jobe, who distributed about 20 cars to his party members recently, the party claimed that the disputed vehicles with Abba’s image would be given to the APC ward chairmen of Rimingado, Tofa, and Dawakin Tofa Federal constituency.
The statement went on to say that the aforementioned vehicles had been built at Northwest University’s temporary campus in Kano in preparation for delivery to Abba Ganduje followers.
In response to the NNPP’s accusations, KIRS declared that the claims were untrue and issued a warning that they would pursue legal action to protect their well-deserved reputation.
The statutory obligation of the revenue service was reiterated in a statement that was signed by Alhaji Rabiu Saleh Rimingado, Head of Corporate Communication at KIRS.
