Reno Omokri, a former presidential assistant, has asserted that ‘Obidients,’ followers of Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi, are a significant force.
According to news sources, Omokri, a well-known supporter of People Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, made the claim on Sunday via his official Twitter profile.
Omokri also raised reservations about the ‘Obidients,’ pointing out that, despite being a formidable movement, it is not national.

Nigeria, he believes, requires national movements to thrive.
He wrote: “If Nigeria must survive and thrive, we need national movements. The Obidient Movement is a powerful force. But it is not a national movement. It is not even rational. That is why when you disagree with an Obidient, insults are to be expected”
According to Reno Omokri, the Yorubas are the most friendly people in Nigeria.
The media personality commended the tribe for its consideration for other tribes.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart observed on Twitter that most of what Lagosians tolerate would not be tolerated anywhere.

He tweeted: “The most accommodating people in Nigeria are the Yoruba. The most accommodating place in Nigeria is Lagos. What Lagosians accept will not be accepted anywhere else. And for this the Yoruba deserve kudos not knocks! We all should be like them. #NigerianElections2023 #TableShaker.”
