Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, are not at odds.
This was claimed by Abba Bichi, son of the Director General of the Department of State Services, Yusuf Bichi, in response to the alleged clash between the two APC chieftains.
Since Tinubu emerged as the APC’s presidential candidate, there have been rumors that Buhari does not fully back his candidacy.

In recent weeks, however, Buhari has been seen actively participating in Tinubu’s rallies and meetings.
The most recent of them was held on Monday at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi, where Buhari led guests to the state to campaign for Tinubu.
During the campaign, Buhari left the campaign grounds with a few dignitaries without addressing the crowd, which was irritated by the stadium’s poor sound system and power outage.
Following the event, speculation began that Buhari walked out of the campaign, despite the fact that the president, like thousands of others, was irritated by uncontrolled technical glitches.
As the episode was winding down, Tinubu informed supporters that the country’s chronic fuel scarcity and rising fuel prices were the product of saboteurs.

In response to the statement, some in the opposition claimed that the APC presidential candidate was referring to saboteurs in Buhari’s government. As a result, they stated that the two statesmen are at odds.
But Abba Bichi took to his verified Twitter page to write: “The President and Bola Ahmed Tinubu are not in any war as stated by the media and enemies of the APC-led administration of Muhammadu Buhari and the incoming administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“This is an effort to sabotage the peace between President Buhari and H.E Tinubu.”
