The process to save the soul of APGA in Anambra South Senatorial Zone, Wednesday, commenced with a reconciliation meeting for all aspirants and candidates of the party in the zone.
The meeting which was held at the instance of the APGA Vice Chairman in charge of Anambra South, Chief Titus Anigbogu, was summoned by the APGA Candidate for Anambra South Senatorial Zone, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu.
Almost all APGA aspirants and candidates for the State and National Assembly seats as well as key stakeholders in the zone were present at the event and had the opportunity to air their views on the agenda.
The meeting was aimed at properly addressing the issues that emanated from the party’s primaries in the zone and assuaging all aggrieved members.
Discussions also centred on exploring options for the party to emerge victorious in all the seats it will be contesting during the general election, from the state Assembly up-to-the National Assembly.
In a welcome remarks, Chief Anigbogu described as highly commendable, the decision by Prince Ukachukwu to summon the reconciliation meeting, adding that it depicts him as a true leader, who is not concerned about his personal interest but the collective good of the people.
Addressing the assemblage, Prince Ukachukwu, who noted that the primaries have come and gone, said what confronts genuine APGA members is the decision to bury the hatchet and forge ahead for the greater benefit of the state and the Igbo nation.
He called on all the candidates that emerged to be magnanimous in victory and commence genuine reconciliation with their co-contestants, urging those who did not emerge to accept the hand of fellowship extended to them in the spirit of brotherliness.
Ikukuoma emphasized that his persistence in politics despite his numerous obstacles, was because he has the vision to impact the lives of the people the way it has never been done, adding that APGA presents a viable platform for Ndigbo to rally and pursue their collective agenda.

Some Federal House of Representatives candidates including Chief Okwudili Ezenwankwo (Orumba North and South, Chief Iju Nwabunike (Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo) and Barr. Ifeanyi Muoma (Ihiala) while apologizing to all who might be aggrieved with the party’s primaries, expressed their readiness to work with their co-contestants to resolve any differences.
For the representatives of the House of Assembly candidates, Barr. Austin Enendu (Old Nnewi Region), Chief Emeka Aforka (Old Aguata Region) and Hon. Chidi Udemmadu and Mr. Paschal Agbodike, the forum has become imperative to ensure that APGA goes into the general election with one voice; commending Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu for providing the desired leadership that is needed in the zone.
Other speakers at the meeting, who endorsed the reconciliation and made contributions on the way forward were the Transition Chairman, Nnewi North, Mr. Chukwudi Orizu (for all the TC Chairmen in the zone and Chief Obiorah Ezechukwu (For all APGA Local Government Chairmen in the zone).
